About Wilson Beach
Wilson Beach is a small coastal locality at the mouth of the Proserpine River in the Whitsunday Region, about 27 kilometres southeast of Proserpine. Its 300-metre south-facing beach fronts wide sand flats and tidal pools, sheltered from large swells by the Great Barrier Reef offshore. The quiet settlement has limited development and is surrounded by wetland and mangrove habitat along the river estuary.
