About Breadalbane (Qld)
Breadalbane is a rural locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, south-east of Proserpine along the Bruce Highway. Lethe Brook forms much of its boundary. The land is flat and low-lying, used for a mixture of grazing on native vegetation and sugarcane production, with a cane tramway network servicing the local sugar mill. The locality takes its name from the historic Breadalbane pastoral station established in the 1870s.
