About Glen Isla

Glen Isla is a rural locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, bounded by the Proserpine River. It was the site of the Crystal Brook Sugar Company plantation, registered in 1882 as the first sugar plantation in the district, and its wharf known as The Landing was the main port for Proserpine goods before the railway opened in 1910.
