About Holmview

Holmview is a residential suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia, located about 2 kilometres northwest of Beenleigh and 32 kilometres southeast of central Brisbane. The suburb is named after the Holmview railway station, established in 1885 on the Beenleigh line, originally called Holme View for its vista of the Loganholme area. The Logan River forms part of the northern boundary. Holmview was designated a locality in 1975 and became a suburb in 2003. Historically notable for August Thorsborne's brewery established in 1884, the area is now also home to the Teys Brothers meatworks.
