About Edens Landing

Edens Landing is a suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia, situated on the south bank of the Logan River, approximately 3 kilometres northwest of Beenleigh and 30 kilometres southeast of central Brisbane. The area was historically known as Holmview Heights before being renamed after Henry Eden, an early settler involved in the timber industry who obtained a punt ferry licence across the Logan River in 1865. The predominantly residential suburb was developed by Leighton Holdings during the mid-1980s and officially gazetted in November 1985. The terrain rises from 10 to 90 metres above sea level, with the Logan River forming its northeastern boundary. Edens Landing is served by its own railway station on the Beenleigh railway line and includes Edens Landing State School, which opened in 1997.
