About Mount Mort

Mount Mort is a sparsely settled rural locality in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, encompassing the valley of Franklin Vale Creek and the western Liverpool Range. The name honours the Mort family, who were among the first settlers in the district in the 1840s. The land is predominantly used for grazing on native vegetation, and Beau Brummel Conservation Park occupies part of the western boundary, providing bushland habitat.
