About Rosevale (Qld)
Rosevale is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region of Queensland, situated about 40 kilometres south-west of Ipswich on Boyd Creek, a headwater tributary of the Bremer River. Named after the Rossvale pastoral run taken up by William Ross in the 1850s, the area supports cattle grazing on gently rolling farmland at the foot of the Little Liverpool Range. The heritage-listed Rosevale Retreat Hotel, built in 1852 and described as Queensland's oldest hotel building, is a local landmark.
