About Greymare

Greymare is a rural farming locality on the Darling Downs tablelands, roughly 36 kilometres west of Warwick along the Cunningham Highway. The landscape supports sheep and cattle grazing and mixed cropping across gently undulating country at around 460 metres elevation. The name is said to derive from a grey mare belonging to early pastoralist John Deuchar, which habitually escaped its paddock to head for Greymare Creek.
