About Thane

Thane is a small town and locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, on the Cunningham Highway about 40 km west of Warwick. The town grew around Thane railway station, a terminus of the South Western railway line, and is named after John Thane, a pioneer pastoralist who drowned in the Condamine River in the 1840s.
