About Spring Creek (Banana - Qld)
Spring Creek is a rural locality in the Banana Shire of Central Queensland, bounded to the south by the Dawson River. Glebe Weir impounds the river along its south-western edge and is a popular camping and fishing spot. Swindle Hill nearby is said to be named after an 1860s gold-mining fraud, and a small school served the locality from 1913 until the late 1920s.
