About Lakes Creek
Lakes Creek is a suburb split between Rockhampton Region and Shire of Livingstone in Central Queensland, situated about 8 kilometres east-south-east of Rockhampton's central business district. The suburb is bordered to the south-west by the Fitzroy River, while much of its undeveloped mountainous land lies within Mount Archer National Park. Teys Australia operates a large abattoir and feedlot in the suburb that was Rockhampton's largest employer with over 1,000 staff.
