About Frenchville

Frenchville is a residential suburb of Rockhampton, about 6 km northeast of the CBD at the base of Mount Archer in the Berserker Range. Named after French botanist Anthelme Thozet, who established pioneering tropical gardens in the 1860s, it is close to Mount Archer National Park with walking tracks and panoramic views. The suburb features the Rockpool Water Park and Frenchville State School, established in 1900.
