About Cassowary
Cassowary is a rural locality 8 kilometres south-east of Mossman in Far North Queensland, named after the Southern Cassowary found in the region's tropical rainforests. The low-lying north-western plains are used for sugarcane farming, while the eastern and southern parts rise into the Cassowary Range within Mowbray National Park.
