About Carina Heights

Carina Heights is a hill and a suburb in the City of Brisbane, about 10 km south-east of the central business district. It was officially separated from the neighbouring suburb of Carina in 1975, the name coming from an 1850s estate owned by Ebenezer Thorne. The suburb's south-west is occupied by Whites Hill Reserve, including Pine Mountain, a former quarry site now used for recycling asphalt.
