About Grange (Qld)

Grange is an inner-north Brisbane suburb situated about 5 kilometres from the CBD, on the southern bank of Kedron Brook. The name derives from The Grange Tannery established by T.K. Peate in the 1860s, with the area subdivided into the Grange Estate in 1903. "Grange" derives from an Old English word meaning granary. The suburb features The Pinnacle, a hill rising to 57 metres, and parkland along Kedron Brook including Grange Forest Park. Characterised by Queenslander-style housing, it is served by the Ferny Grove rail line.
