About Gordon Park
Gordon Park is a residential suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, about 5.4 km north of the CBD. Named after General Charles Gordon, hero of the 1885 Siege of Khartoum in Sudan, it was first subdivided in the 1880s. One of Brisbane's smallest suburbs, it is U-shaped and bordered by Kedron Brook to the east and south. The suburb features Queenslander-style homes and tree-lined streets, with many road names referencing Gordon's military campaigns. Kedron Brook provides linear parklands and a bikeway.
