About East Brisbane
East Brisbane is an inner southern suburb of Brisbane, about 3.6 km south-east of the CBD, bounded by the Brisbane River to the north and Norman Creek to the east. It retains many original Queenslander homes and is home to Mowbray Park, the heritage-listed East Brisbane War Memorial and Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie), with small commercial strips along Lytton and Stanley streets.
