About Wulagi
Wulagi is a northern residential suburb of Darwin in the Northern Territory, located 14 kilometres from the Darwin CBD on the traditional Country of the Larrakia people. Established in the 1970s after Cyclone Tracy, the name originates from the Wurlaki Aboriginal tribe of Central Arnhem Land. Designed as a low-density, low-traffic suburb with pedestrian laneways and a green belt, most streets are named after Northern Territory birds. Wulagi Primary School is an open-plan school with a co-located Early Learning Centre. The suburb features Wulagi Oval, popular for club cricket, and a shopping centre with general store and services.
