About Buckenbowra

Buckenbowra is a locality in the Clyde River catchment on the South Coast of New South Wales. The Buckenbowra River valley was settled in the 1830s and originally cleared by convict labour. The area was known for fat cattle and later supported a large wattle bark processing works. The Corn Trail, an early bridle track, linked the valley to the Southern Tablelands.
