About Runnyford
Runnyford is a locality on the South Coast of New South Wales, situated along the western side of the Clyde River. Originally named Runnymede in 1837 by grantee Henry Burnell after his school on the Thames, it was renamed in 1909 to avoid confusion with a Tasmanian post office. The area was known for cheese-making from 1847, and old Aboriginal fish traps survive on the Buckenbowra River nearby.
