About Currowan

Currowan is a locality in the Eurobodalla Shire on the South Coast of New South Wales, about 30 kilometres north of Batemans Bay on the Clyde River. A township of the same name was planned at the river mouth in 1844 and proclaimed in 1885, but it never prospered and little remains of it today. The area later saw a brief starch factory industry and is now quiet forest and farming country.
