About Waggrakine
Waggrakine is an outer northern suburb of Geraldton in Western Australia, within the City of Greater Geraldton. The suburb was gazetted in 1979 and has grown as a residential area on the edge of the regional city. The district was the site of an early experiment in coffee growing, begun in 1870 with government approval because the local landscape was thought to resemble Brazil coffee-growing areas.
