About Moresby (WA)
Moresby is a locality about 10 kilometres north-east of Geraldton in the Mid West region of Western Australia, situated on the north bank of the Chapman River within the City of Greater Geraldton. Gazetted in 1980, it is a rural-residential area on the city's eastern fringe, surrounded by neighbouring suburbs of Waggrakine, Spalding and Moonyoonooka. The Chapman River, named by explorer George Grey in 1839, flows through the area on its way from the Victoria Plateau to the Indian Ocean at Bluff Point.
