About Abba River
Abba River is a rural locality in the City of Busselton in Western Australia's South West region, about 20 km from Busselton. It was established as a bounded locality in 1987 and named after the nearby Abba River, whose Aboriginal name, recorded in 1834, is a greeting word of the local people. The river rises in the Whicher Range and flows across the coastal plain to the Vasse-Wonnerup wetlands. The locality is farming country, with beef and dairy grazing, horticulture and vineyards.
