About Mount Richmond

Mount Richmond is a rural locality in the Glenelg Shire of south-west Victoria, named after Richmond Henty, a son of the pioneering Henty family and one of the first European children born in the Portland district. The extinct volcano of the same name is the centrepiece of Mount Richmond National Park, known for its wildflower displays and birdwatching, and the locality is crossed by the Great South West Walk.
