About Drumborg

Drumborg is a rural locality in the Shire of Glenelg in south-western Victoria, north-west of Heywood, on the lands of the Gunditjmara people. The name is thought to come from a licensed pastoral run established in 1846, possibly named after Drumburgh in Scotland. It developed as a mixed farming and dairying district, with a school from 1874 and a public hall from 1903. In 1964 Seppelt established a vineyard in the area for its Great Western wine production.
