About Killara (Glenelg - Vic.)
Killara is a locality in Glenelg Shire in south-western Victoria, south of Casterton in the grazing and forestry country of the Mocamboro and Myaring parishes. Killara State School, opened in 1881 and closed in 1901, was re-established in 1965 and reopened the following year, serving the area's small farming community.
