About Aire Valley

Aire Valley is a rural locality in the Otway Ranges of south-western Victoria, in the Shire of Colac Otway, about 5 km south of Beech Forest. It is known for its plantation of coastal redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens), planted in 1936 by the Forests Commission Victoria and now more than 60 metres tall. The trees lie within the Great Otway National Park and draw visitors, and the site is recognised for its biological and cultural significance.
