About Rich Avon East
Rich Avon East is a locality in the eastern Wimmera region of Victoria, within the Northern Grampians Shire. It takes its name from the Rich Avon pastoral run, first settled in 1844 and later split into eastern and western holdings. The heritage-listed Rich Avon Homestead, owned by the Guthrie family since 1864, was home to one of Victoria's oldest Merino studs.
