About Kewell

Kewell is a rural locality in the Wimmera region of Victoria, located between Warracknabeal and Horsham on the western side of the Shire of Yarriambiack. Named after the Kewell pastoral run taken up by John and Alexander Wilson in 1845, the area features grain-growing farmland. A large shearing shed built on the run in the 1870s was among the most notable pastoral structures in the district.
