About Minyip

Known as the Heart of the Wheat Belt, Minyip is a town in the Wimmera region of north-west Victoria, about 50 kilometres north of Horsham. It is a centre for dryland grain farming, becoming a rail-head when the railway from Murtoa arrived in 1886. The town retains a courthouse from 1886 and Edwardian hotels from the early 1900s.
