About Chadstone
Chadstone is a suburb of Melbourne about 14 km south-east of the central business district, in the City of Monash, on the Glen Waverley railway line, with Scotchmans Creek running along its southern boundary. The suburb is home to Chadstone Shopping Centre, opened in 1960 as Australia's first large regional shopping centre on land once held by the Convent of the Good Shepherd, and today the largest shopping centre in the country. Chadstone also takes in the old settlement of Jordanville, and the Monash Freeway runs through the suburb.
