About Chum Creek

Chum Creek is a town in the Yarra Ranges of Victoria, about 50 km north-east of Melbourne's central business district. It takes its name from the creek that runs through the locality, where Chinese miners worked an alluvial gold shaft in the 1850s and 1860s, and the surrounding land was later used for farming and timber.
