About Wongungarra
Wongungarra is a sparsely populated rural locality in the mountain country of north-east Gippsland, Victoria, in the Wellington Shire. The Wongungarra River, which rises below Mount Saint Bernard in the Great Dividing Range, flows through the locality to join the Wonnangatta River. The remote forested area is largely uninhabited, with high ridges and peaks rising above its valleys.
