About Cowa
Cowa is a remote high-country locality in the Shire of Wellington, north-west of Dargo near the headwaters of the Crooked River. It grew as a settlement during the district's 1860s gold rush, with a post office operating from 1865 to 1916, and the surrounding ranges are now part of the Alpine National Park.
