About Kergunyah South
Kergunyah South is a small rural locality in the Kiewa Valley of north-east Victoria, situated on the Kiewa Valley Highway approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Wodonga. The name is derived from an Aboriginal word thought to mean camping ground, and the area forms part of a historically significant dairy farming district in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. The Kiewa River runs through the valley, with nearby reserves offering popular swimming spots amid pastoral and mountainous terrain.
