About Howqua Hills
Howqua Hills is a historic gold-mining area in the high country of eastern Victoria, set along the Howqua River. It forms part of the Howqua Hills Historic Area, where gold-rush relics survive alongside the log cabin known as Pickering's Hut, and is popular for camping, fishing, horse riding and four-wheel driving. The area lies on the traditional Country of the Taungurung people.
