About Myers Flat

Myers Flat is a semi-rural locality on the Loddon Valley Highway, approximately 8 kilometres north-west of Bendigo in central Victoria. Named after Thomas Myers, co-proprietor of the Weddikar pastoral run established in 1845, the area saw gold discovered in 1852 and settled by predominantly Irish farming families growing stock feed, fruit and vegetables. St Augustine's Catholic Church, built in German Gothic style and opened in 1864, is a prominent landmark, and the locality retains whipstick forest reserves to its east and west.
