About Long Gully
Long Gully is a suburb of Bendigo in central Victoria, about 3 km north-west of the city centre along Long Gully Creek. It grew out of the Bendigo gold rush, when the Long Gully reefs yielded some of the richest gold in the city and the Carlisle United mine became Bendigo's largest producer. Today it is a largely residential suburb of older miners' cottages, bordered by the historic Victoria Hill mining landscape.
