About Axe Creek
Axe Creek is a rural locality in the City of Greater Bendigo, Victoria, 15 kilometres south-east of central Bendigo. The McIvor Highway passes through the north and the locality is named after the creek of the same name, a tributary of the Campaspe River. A historic Catholic church on Axe Creek Road reflects the area's early European settlement.
