About Tourello

Tourello is a rural locality in the City of Ballarat in western Victoria. It was the site of the Sheepwash (later Tourello) school, conducted by Henry Judkins in the late 19th century. When the railway from Ballarat to Clunes opened in November 1874 a station was established at Tourello, serving the locality until it closed in 1956.
