About Bonshaw (Vic.)
Bonshaw is a locality on the southern rural fringe of Ballarat in Victoria, one of the precincts of the Ballarat West Growth Area. It takes its name from a sheep run bought by John Winter in the 1840s and renamed for his father-in-law's estate. Once farming country, the area has been transformed since the 2010s by residential development and new subdivisions.
