About North Motton
North Motton is a rural locality and town in the Central Coast local government area, in the North West region of Tasmania, about 28 kilometres (17 mi) west of the town of Devonport. It is a village and dairy farming district on Preston Road about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of Ulverstone, named after William (Billy) Motton, who took up the land in 1854.
