About Loyetea

Loyetea is a rural locality in the Central Coast local government area of north-west Tasmania, about 42 kilometres south-west of Ulverstone. Gazetted as a locality in 1973, it was previously known as Milton or Lowana, and Loyetea is believed to be an Aboriginal word for love. The locality is mountainous country used for timber logging.
