About Eden Hills
Eden Hills is a south-eastern suburb in the foothills of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Mitcham. Established in 1883, the suburb is located on the Belair railway line with the Eden Hills railway station opening in 1911. Places of interest include the 32-hectare Watiparinga Reserve on the Register of the National Estate, which contains remnants of the 1880s Adelaide to Melbourne railway, the Wittunga Botanic Garden, one of three Adelaide botanic gardens, and the Colebrook Reconciliation Park, a memorial to Aboriginal children removed from their families. The oldest known residence in the suburb, Seaview, was built in 1849.
