About Craigburn Farm

Craigburn Farm is a residential suburb in the City of Mitcham, South Australia, located approximately 17 kilometres south of the Adelaide CBD. Established in 1995 on land previously used as a farm and dormitory for children with intellectual disabilities by Minda Inc since 1934, the suburb was developed by Adelaide Development Company with the Blackwood Park estate established in 1998. Adjoining the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park with walking and riding trails, Craigburn Farm features kangaroos, koalas and echidnas in its natural surroundings. The suburb is served by the Coromandel railway station on the Belair line.
