About Bellevue Heights
Bellevue Heights is a residential suburb in the City of Mitcham in the Adelaide foothills, South Australia, located 11 kilometres straight-line from the Adelaide city centre. Originally the rural property Windsor Farm and later Sturtbrae, owned by the W. G. Mills family, the suburb was named after Bellevue in Sydney by developer Murray Hill. The southern part includes the northern section of Sturt Gorge Recreation Park, and residents typically enjoy views of the city or the gorge. Bellevue Heights Primary School, Manson Oval Sporting Facility and the Bellevue Heights Tennis Club serve the community.
