About Stonelands
Stonelands is a small rural locality in the Waratah-Wynyard Council area of north-western Tasmania, situated approximately 15 kilometres south of Wynyard in the coastal hinterland. The area is characterised by dairy farming, potato growing and remnant wet eucalypt forest on the rolling hills of the north-west coast. Stonelands lies within the broader north-west Tasmanian landscape of fertile volcanic soils, pastureland and the coastal plains stretching towards the Bass Strait.
