About Wooroonden
Wooroonden is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, about 25 kilometres north-west of Murgon. The district was originally known as Woroonden, and the spelling was officially changed to Wooroonden in 2002. Its state school, opened in 1918, closed in 1963, and the old building now stands at the site known as Hughie Campbell Memorial Park.
