About Stalworth
Stalworth is a rural locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, located about 11 kilometres north of Proston and 295 kilometres north-northwest of Brisbane. The landscape features undulating tableland country at 300 to 500 metres elevation with open woodlands and grasslands, with land use dominated by grazing on native vegetation. The area was initially called the Overseas Settlement by English migrants who arrived around 1910 to 1911 aboard the Oswestry Grange from Bedfordshire and Yorkshire, selecting 320 to 720 acre portions near Back Creek and Wigton pastoral station.
